In response to your query, Seance was lost in distribution hell for 10 years. At first there was plenty of interests in the movie. It had a contract for theatrical release with New Line Cinema but the owner of the rights was unable to meet deliverables due to financial restrictions, which was common then for indie productions. Now with the new media landscape, a family friend, Charles Mariotti, who was developing feature projects of his own, which included DIY distribution via service deals, stepped in and took over as Producer of Marketing and Distribution. Aug 2nd of 2011 at Anthology Film Archives, New York NY, there will be a screening of Seance, which has been reverted back to the original copyright title: KILLER IN THE DARK. This will preceed the movie's release on cable VOD platforms, and a upstart internet horror network TBA. There are plans for a DVD release via Amazon and the Website by the end of 2011 or beginning of 2012.

Rick Vasquez writer/executive producer, put out almost $1M of his own money in production alone which left no P&A budget. It is unlikely the movie will see a profit, to do so it will need to gross nearly $2M. Nevertheless, it is finally going to make it to the viewing public, with plans for a new film look as well as the original version. It is a fun movie, not too serious, with some chills and thrills, and excellent scream queens, Mikki Padilla (GSN's Catch 21) Shannon Malone (International Model, Playmate, Big Bad Wolf) and Amy Lotsi, an unknown quantity, but great actress. Feldman was excellent, and it was great to Adam West in a feature. To round of the cast, Chris Casaassa, (Scorpion in Mortal Kombat, President of Red Dragon Karate) plays Corey Feldman's brother, the priest.
