Is this movie worth buying even if you haven't seen it yet? I've wanted to see this movie since it came out in theaters but it never came to my theater. Now that its out on video and DVD, its not at my blockbuster or any other movie rental store nearby. A friend suggested I just buy it. Is it worth it?
shareIt's definately worth it! I've been wanting to see Passionada ever since I heard about it...which was quite a while ago. It never came to my theater either. I bought it the day it came out and I fell in love with! It's a great movie. If you can't rent a movie to see if you like it, it can be hard to decide if you want to buy it. But this movie is amazing. I think buying it without seeing it is safe as long as you like the story plot. The actors do a wonderful job and the crew makes you feel like you're there. Dan Ireland did a great job directing as well.

I thought it was enjoyable & plan on recommending it to my 28 yr old daughter. It was compared to Big Fat Greek Wedding but I think it's more in the vein of Return to Me or I'm With Lucy (check it out if you haven't seen it) in that it is a pleasant romantic comedy if you don't expect an Oscar worthy movie.I guess it depends on how much you have to pay - maybe ebay or half.com for a used copy? I found it at Hollywood Video since it wasn't at blockbuster. Hope this helps.
