Love really is blind

God..Belinda's blind loyalty is CRINGE WORTHY and makes her even more dis-likeable than Mahowny IMO. He doesn't have a single redeeming characteristic. He's a criminal with a gambling addiction, has the personality and social skills of a rock, treats her like crap, and even is physically unattractive and completely out of shape. It just makes no sense as to why she'd be so in love with the guy.

Still a fantastic movie though and Hoffman's best performance IMO. But I just wish they had Minnie Driver's character have some pride/common sense.
