This for some reason is one of my favorite movies. I can't really understand the story (guy is hired to kill El presidente) but I love it. I like the characters the action the story everything. I must have watched this movie at least 20+ times. I don't know why.

it's because of Johnny Depp, trust me. When this movie first came out i felt the same way, watched it all the time, couldnt get enough. Then i started watching other johnny depp movies and realized he made this movie. Take away his scenes and the rest of the movie stinks, plain and simple.

gotta agree; its an Agent Sands thing... and the soundtrack is pretty good too. But its mainly Sands.
life is not a succession of urgent "nows". It's a listless trickle of "why should I's".
I liked the official/unofficial jokes, like when Rueben Blades sees Mickey Rourke getting a taco and thinking it's too easy so it must be a setup, etc.
