(When a corrupt DEA agent named Bauer and Cartel leader, Fernando Ruiz murder an undercover colleague of Bauer in the desert near the America/Mexico border, a bumbling crook named Kyle Jenning, who was crossing over at the same time, witnessed the crime. After a failed attempt to kill him, Kyle hijacks a jeep and speeds off. Fearing he will talk, Bauer dares to put a large bounty on his head. However, Ruiz proposes they pin the crime on the legendary gunslinger, El Mariachi, who has gone underground for the past several years. Bauer is intrigued to know who this man is, so he agrees to it. The Mariachi has crossed Ruiz in the past, and he knows this particular murder will persuade the authorities to flush him out of hiding.

Deep in the heart of Mexico, the Mariachi has been living in a rundown slum, under a different identity. However, he is approached by an American known as Jack Fremont; an ex-Navy sEAL, who proposes the Mariachi help him start a war amongst Ruiz and his bitter rival, Felipe Criado. Naturally, the Mariachi refuses, until Fremont informs him that one of his female informants just so happens to be Carolina's older sister, Paulina, and that her cover could be blown, therefore, putting her life in danger. The Mariachi reluctantly accepts his offer, but soon learns of the murder he's been framed for. A renegade cop named Zitega, who aspires to capture the Mariachi, personally, accepts the case and begins a one-man crusade to find him. When the Mariachi soon learns of Kyle Jenning's involvement, he knows that he's the only one to clear his name.

As the Mariachi and Fremont begin pitting Ruiz and Criado against one another, it brings about a nasty feud involving colorful assassins and uncertain loyalties. The murder of the fed at the border draws in the attention of a DEA bloodhound named Fielding, who is known for his unorthodox and brutal tactics. He's deeply angered for the murder of his colleague, and wants the Mariachi's head as badly as Ruiz. At this point, Bauer is determined to find Kyle and kill him before the Mariachi can get to him. When the Mariachi decides he can't trust Fremont, he enlists the help of two amigos, Lorenzo and Fideo. Zitega winds up arresting Kyle for theft, but the Mariachi and his pals bust him free. Kyle then confesses to witnessing the murder at the hands of Bauer and Ruiz. The Mariachi wants to clear his name, but he also knows he must rescue Paulina from the clutches of his enemies. In the end, it is revealed that Bauer and Fremont were working together to bring down Felipe Criado's cartel, but Paulina was forced to work as their mole. What they both didn't count on, was the legendary Mariachi to foil their plan. Now, with a determined cop, a vengeful agent, and every drug muling thug after him, El Mariachi must save the woman in danger, protect the witness who can free him, and convince the lawmen that he is in fact, himself, on their side.

No watch!

My ratings are not always like the IMDB average score because I only enjoy intelligent movies.
