The Subtitles?

A question regarding the subtitles for the DVD. I speak little French, but according to my brother the subtitles are very misleading. He says that they're not true translations, so I was wondering if this was true. Anyone here know enough French to either confirm or disprove his statement?

They're fairly accurate. Not the perfect image of the french, but they get the meaning and flavor.
