'A black man in America can't be fat' ...

Or whatever Leticia said to her son as she smacked him around for hoarding candy bars.

How ridiculously racist and sexist! America isn't kind to an overweight person of ANY race and gender.

A lot of this movie was ridiculous. I ended up laughing more than feeling sorry for anyone.

Leticia wanted to help her son, but ended up hurting him. Likewise Hank probably did love Sonny, but was abusive because it was all he knew. It wasn't until they were gone that Hank & Leticia realized they had misplaced anger. Leticia at her husband, and Sonny at his father. They healed there wounds together and learned love & forgiveness. That's how I interpret the ending- Leticia silently forgiving Hank & letting go of her anger for Lawrence

-Who is it?
-It's Grandpa. And it sounds like he's gotten into the horseradish again.
