hey, I just saw this film for the first time and it was only 68 minutes long. imdb and Rottentomatoes claim that it's 90 minutes long. Are there 2 versions? if so, where can I see the longer cut?

I think that might be a mistake by IMDB. There were some cuts to this film, but surely not 22 minutes of them.
I think that the original full-length film might only exist in home recordings now. I recall reading on a Daria fan-site some time ago that MTV somehow lost part of the film. MTV seemed very uninterested in repeating Daria once it finished its initial run, which was a bad move by them.

"The time-edited version is the one used for both the stand-alone DVD release and the Daria: The Complete Animated Series box set. MTV's official explanation is that this was because the video and audio tracks for the uncut version were lost, and since separate audio tracks were needed to replace the soundtrack for video distribution (due to music licensing issues), they had no choice but to use the edited version."
