Around the end of season four/beginning of season five, it seems like all the regulars start to become charicatures of themselves and the show stops being as funny. There also aren't as many genuine and heartfelt moments between the cast. It's a real bummer.
shareHappens in almost every comedy like that unfortunately. Particularly network cable shows. If the show lasts long enough, the characters just become more ridiculous versions of themselves.
shareYeah, it's either that or they add a character to bring in new blood, or someone leaves and creates a void or both.
You also run into repeating yourself until it becomes a predictable joke.
Funny, because Season 5 is by far the best season
