Was Mungo retarded? I think he was a little slow because he knew what was going on. :D
shareMungo was likely a play on the name Mongo which was a Giant in the Mel Brooks flick Blazing Saddles and in that movie Mongo was a play on the word Mongoloid which is a term used (usually negatively) to describe a mentally handicapped person. So, yeah, Mungo was very likely done like this on purpose to pay tribute to Mel Brook's film.
