Lulu or a Mop?

I really loved this series and wish it had lived a longer life than it did. I never understood how or why they choose Lulu as the object of Nick's affections. They could have saved the money and used a mop for her role. The only thing they would have had to do is actually mop up a flooded bathroom when they wanted her character to pitch one of her hissy fits. She didn't have much more appeal or acting ability than a mop. They could have also used a broom for her double. It would have fit well with Nick's office being in the broom closet at LSP.

The cop he was dating had much more appeal

Agree with all the posters on this thread. Lulu is an awful character: whiny, judgemental, emotionally manipulative (of Nick), passive aggressive. And she wasn't even a good lawyer. Like the rest of you have articulated, there were no redeeming or remotely appealing qualities about her. She effectively ruined the show for me. From season 2 onwards, I could only bear watching a few episodes here and there, and most of those I watched with my finger on the fast forward button to skip any and all Lulu or Lulu/Nick stuff. I was just relieved when the series finale rolled around that Lulu and Nick didn't end up together. He's a better man without her. Their relationship was dysfunctional as all hell and she brought out the worst in him. Lulu was nothing but bad news for Nick.
