Great Finale (Spoilers)

I thought this was a great finale, and really liked that the end challenge was switched up a bit so that writing it down ahead of time didn't give the advantage for the win. I also liked that the teammates were far away enough that they couldn't "help" (I think it may have not been allowed either, but I hate when that happens - especially on Survivor). From episode two or so I had picked two teams that I wanted to win (the basketball guys and Big Brother) and was really happy that one of them did! It was great when that "inspector" finally gave Jess the thumbs up and she gave him a big hug. Cody's reaction at the finish line was great.

Random thoughts in no particular order other than as they come to me:

I didn't really get why the guys (Indy? I'm bad at names) just seemed to totally wuss out this leg ("I'm getting hurt by a crab." or "I can't understand what they're saying." or "I can't find a sign so I'm just going to stand here and do nothing.") You're that close and you just seem to give up and say everything is impossible? Was the stress just getting to them?

There were some pretty stupid moves by both Yale and Big Brother in not getting the number of HRs before getting in the kayaks.

Cringed when Henry had all the right plane pieces and then switched it out, but I cheered because I don't like the girl and didn't want them to win. (I wonder if they were told that later on they were that close or were sitting there smacking themselves watching it there at home last night lol.)

I liked that smashing challenge. That looked fun.

I'd also really like to know if they know the locations when they are casting or what the deal is. They almost always have someone that is fluent in a language of one of the countries they go to that gives a team an advantage while there. Maybe they do it because it DOES shake things up a bit. Granted Cantonese is not Mandarin, but it helps. The fact that one challenge was specifically language-based, when they knew someone would probably fly through it, was somewhat annoying to me.

Anyway, would love to hear other thoughts. Love it? Hate it? Anything that bugged you?

I thought the finale was great and love it when the final challenge is something that isn't easy and that really the best team wins and not just gets lucky due to having a better taxi driver than the other teams.

Big Brother was my pick from the beginning, but found myself rooting for Yale. I liked how they continually pushed through even when secluded.

This is the first season i've ever watched from start to finish. I was rooting for Big Brother from the getgo. I really liked that Jessica was kind of worthless and carried by Cody the entire time, but had to solve the final challenge to win.

Those two guys were kind of idiots. They were never very good at the intellectual aspects of the game.

The more well rounded a person you are, the better you'll do at this game. A world traveling Olympic athlete who can speak 7 languages would probably crush it.

I remember some outcry in season 25 about the surfing couple that was given a surfing challenge as a fast forward which they completely breezed through. The producers claimed the racers dont know the challenges in advance and that they are randomized.
