2017 - TAR Premiere - Thoughts...?

I've always enjoyed this show for the travel the overall lesson that - Communication Is Essential - so you should study history & culture of lands you plan to visit.

? Why so many LEOs, ERs, & military this year?
? Hawai'ian "dude" was like..."wheneverrrrr....." He acted like he was sent to the show as punishment...geez, a little enthusiasm, bud...?
? Wall St. uber-geek - I don't think anyone would get along with him. Does he ever talk to people face-to-face at work, or does he just write memos all day?
? "Team Fun" - OMG - hard to watch, but I wish them well
? "Team Lo-Lo" - My pick to win!

Not the brightest idea to let the strongest players at the start have their pick of the other strongest players which may have accounted for the terrible teams at the bottom. Imagine that the bottom three or four teams will go fast and then the rest should be pretty competitive.

This was hyped as "never before have the players never met! Something new!" But didn't they do something similar a year or two ago? They matched singles up hoping to make a romantic hook-up. Does anyone else remember that?

Yes - but I had the feeling there was some sort of pre-game communication between contestants and producers to find the best matches to run in the show.

The worst starts ever was when they had 12 sets, and the last people to finish the first task NEVER got to leave the USA and join the race. That really sucked.

I'm rooting for Matt and Redmond (#theboys?). Other teams might grow on me, but they seem pretty irritating right now. Might be an interesting season. Might not.

The more recent seasons seem to have the same type of people which is boring. I liked the older shows with a greater mix of ages and backgrounds. It feels too generic to me so I'll pass on this season.
