I thought it had an uneven path over the two years.
Year I:
Benzali, and to a lesser degree, Bridges, were good additions.
The Gage/Quinn conflict was a major asset.
They under-utilized Reuben. She was a contemporary star and she
should have been front and center most eps.
Didn't like Bellows. Just not a fit for this part.
Will Patton was superb as Haisley, and somewhat carried the
first season.
But overall, too much miscasting and changes for success.
The eps were by and large excellent, and the season ender
set them up good for # 2.
Year II:
The "Incident Response Team" was a good idea. It gave the
series a center, and some focus.
The Gage/Quinn conflict died down a bit. Not good.
Terri/Stiles romance would have been ok if handled better.
Terri in the field was not the greatest idea, but it wasn't
a big negative and there were many eps she wasn't in field.
Stiles was a good character.
The "mole" storyline was a good idea.
Ep quality overall very good, and it's a shame the series
didn't carry forward to a third season. They had a hell
of a storyline working at the end.
Better casting at the beginning, and less reliance on
multiple story lines, would have given the series a
better chance at success. It got off on the wrong foot
ratings wise, and never really recovered.
