How much family drama ahead?

So I'm on episode 19 of season 1 and after a great start the last 4-5 episodes have really bogged down in the Bauer and Palmer family drama none of which I give a flying fig about so my question to viewers who have seen the whole show is there more of this family drama throughout the seasons?
