Palmer and Logan = Obama and Trump

I just finished season 4 and I can't help but think that this is a preview of what the upcoming Presidency might be like. An irrational, clueless, and insecure man unexpectedly becomes President and needs the counsel of the calm, cool, and more experienced former President to get him through crisis.

You left out the most important fact, the people actually liked David Palmer.

Well, no one's perfect. You, for instance, Bubble Boy, left out the important fact that The Man No One Likes got elected to a second term. And unlike Chump, he actually won the popular vote in both his elections (and no, TV ratings for The Apprentice don't count).

Talk about living in a Bubble, you seem to forget that the reason why Donald Trump won is BECAUSE Americans despised Obama's lies and did not want another Obama in office.
And unlike Chump, he actually won the popular vote in both his elections
If that is how he wants to be remembered in history, as a 2 term elected President who won the popular vote both times, then good for him. That isn't much of a legacy, and the fact remains that the Democratic Party has been demolished because of him. No House, No Senate and no Presidency.

Now the, please proceed to enjoy that bubble of yours!

Yeah Obama's approval rating sucks.... nice try.

reply

Not sure where you get your numbers, but just because you disapprove doesn't mean you can say his approval rating sucks... he's leaving office with a 60% approval rating.

Oh, then why didn't the candidate he endorse become the next POTUS?

This!! David Palmer is the black president the US should've had, not that slimy, bacon-dodging, communist pos Obama.

Do not read the following until you've finished season 5....

Please, Logan is an evil genius. Trump is a buffoon hoisted on the shoulders of bigger buffoons.

I doubt Obama's ego would ever allow him to seek guidance from GW Bush.

Uh, okay.

This is pretty accurate. Logan is a pathological liar like Trump, too.

I WAS JUST ABOUT TO POST THIS!

That whole plot-line is S4 screams Trump and Obama. Especially at the end where Logan (Trump) takes all the credit from foreign leaders and Palmer (Obama) is dismissed, told to leave and given no public credit for his work.

Obama isn't calm at all. In fact as far a temperament goes, I see him as being very similar to Trump. Obama is the dishonest, insecure one; whatever Trump may be, he isn't dishonest. Obama's the one who felt the need to take a bunch of petty cheap shots at everyone whom he doesn't like. What kind of counsel would Obama give? How to play cards while other people deal with crisis situations?

I'd rather have Logan as President than Trump

I think 24 made a mistake by having Logan brought down at the end of Season 5. Should have left him on as president for the sixth season too.
