Message boards closing

Man I have not been to this board for a while but i would have hoped that every few years Id stop by and be amazed that Doom and Dteam and a few regs would be popping in. shutting the board sucks!

Not excited about Legacy at all..I may get around to checking out the series once its all aired but so much good stuff on atm anyways!


BTW Anyone seen POI or Blindspot? pretty decent..kinda reminds me a little of 24..in style anyhow!

Yeah, pretty awful that they're closing down, especially because Legacy just started too. I think this will be the first season of 24 I haven't been able to discuss with others since Day 6. Was always a good time on this board anyway, hopefully one of those petitions work that people have got going on and they change their minds about closing it down.

And yeah, POI was brilliant. Loved that show.

Been coming to these very 24 forums since Day 3 was airing on TV, and I was all caught up with my first viewing of Days 1 & 2 shortly beforehand, way back in 2003. We've had many debates, many discussions, all for the love of 24.

In less than 2 weeks, it's over and these forums are gone--likely for a very long time, but I doubt they'll be gone forever. IMDB has been around since the 90's and there will be a huge demand for an on-site discussion areas in the weeks, months, and years after the closing of the forum.

Hello everyone! Not sure if you all remember me, but I see some familiar names in this thread! squirtsuirt, lostinacrowd totally remember you guys!

I joined in around Season 4 in 2005, and man oh man what a ride it was. These forums were lit. Everyone was guessing, complaining all at the same time holding their breath till the next hour/episode.

I remember the eternal pessimists like dteam6, who lambasted anything past season 3, before eventually readjusting to lambasting everything since season 4.

I stuck around with 24 as long as I could. Season 6 was the downfall. It was bad after that, with moments of brilliance. Still get the tingles when I hear about Jack Bauer. 24: Legacy seems predictable.

They could have only reinvented the show if they went extremely small-scale again like they did in Season 1. They kept upping the ante, which was their eventual downfall. They haven't learnt a thing it seems. Will give Legacy a try tonight.

But man I really will miss this forum. Its a crying shame IMDB is getting rid of a huge part of our memories. Ridiculous.

I was a pretty regular board reader, occasional poster, but this board was always a lot of fun. Very sad to see it go.

Some of my fondest memories are peoples' hysterical typed impressions of Sherry Palmer ("DAYYYVID!"), and the loathing of Edgar, who we were supposed to love but didn't. The loathing was often expressed in such over the top ways, and in my opinion, all in good fun.

If they don't come back, take care, y'all! This was one of the top boards for sure. I'd only put the true scary experiences threads on "The Strangers" board above it.

Hi squirt, thank you for mentioning me. I do not post on here any longer (or IMDb at all) but I popped on here to see what some thought about Legacy...even though I am not going to watch it. This is when I saw that IMDb is removing the boards, which yes I agree is a stupid move.

We had a good time on here over the years. While I no longer watch old 24 episodes or have any plans to watch Legacy, that doesn't take away from the fun conversations we all had on here as a community. All the regulars.

Hey SquirtSquirt! Good times, and it is sad that they won't be continued on the IMDb forums, but I've appreciated your insight and your contributions over the years 

24 was a great show, and a lot of great discussions and theories happened right here. The weekly discussions were epic, since it was such a drag waiting 6 days for another 24 fix!

Always enjoyed chatting with you on the SoA boards too! I wish you the best as well.
