Derogatory? Rating below 4?! What film were you lot watching?!?!

Let me start by saying that this is a positive, pleasant and warm film, definitely no masterpiece and no breakthrough in the art of cinematography, but a nice way to spend 1.5 hours if you like the genre. I would like to step up and defend it from the criticism that it received here, as I feel it was undeserved, and I did enjoy viewing it.

I don't know what derogatory things people saw in this, because I sure didn't. Gods, it's a comedy - don't take everything so seriously! The gay character is a wuss and beyond girly, the two main female characters are disillusioned and bitter - SO WHAT?! I got the distinct feeling that this film was bashed and underrated by a homosexual and/or feministic audience that somehow feels offended by this, yet I see no reason for it to be considered an insult at all. People are different, and have the right to be that way. Girly gays, "overly" emotional straight men, tired and desperate women, nice and caring dysfunctional males wishing to have a normal family - they all exist in great numbers, and have a right to be...

I personally find it offensive when people, under the banner of political correctness, go out and associate every character with themselves, and then act bitter and feel that they need to go out and tell the world that they are not like that at all. I, for one, have met many people who resemble the characters in this film, and firmly believe that they would not at all like knowing that the agendas of the feminist and gay lobbies include banning their personalities as counterproductive for their "causes".

Some of you people just go over the top with this! Not all straight men watch wrestling and act blatantly macho, not all single women are strong individualists happy with their lives, and not all gays resemble superman; if that is a problem for your self-image, well, DEAL WITH IT!

If you are offended by seeing imperfect people of your age, sex, and orientation group - you need to see a psychologist, and not yell about how offended you are online.

And if you are secure with your feelings and who you are - watch the film, you just might enjoy it!
