Subplots for the 1st season

Has anyone else watched them? Also is there anyone that out there that can help me with the mystery? If you watch them closely, you'll pick this up.

Basically each subplot contained a phone number, and if you dialled it, you got clues which ultimately led you to Las Vegas to enter a competition for a chance to win a BMW car

Also, there was a website link that told whomever viewed it to show up at a certain date at an address in Manhattan, NY. The people who showed up had their pictures taken next to the shot-up BMW in The Hire: Ambush. I, of course, discovered this too late because I didn't get around to watching the films until I had acquired a computer with the right hardware requirements so I could view them properly.

I was disappointed they didn't continue with the subplots in season two.

I am not sure exactly how I got onto the hire series in the first place, but when it first came out, it was strictly a download from the BMW website. (I think there might have been a release date for each new film in season 1, I really can't remember.)

Well for some odd reason, in the first film, I think it was in the subplot there was a phone number or something listed on a piece of paper or something. It never said to call the number, instead of the 555-1212 number you normally see on tv, this I think was a Manhattan phone number and for some reason I tried to call the number. It was an answering machine and I think it gave some information about a car ad or something in the NY times. From there it lead to another number to call and from there to some websites that you had to search.

Each new sub story carried on your quest.

At the time, I remember being entirely hooked on the whole thing. If I remember correctly, the first year you went to New York and went up to someone in a trench coat and you got a copy the of the Hire DVD. If I remember correctly, the second year you were to go to Las Vegas and of all the people that went, one would win a Z4 BMW.

I finished the clues in time, (they were not all that easy) but I wasn't going to fly to Vegas on a whim. (I really wished that I had.)

At the time, the game within the game was exciting and challenging (it all wasn't as simple as just dialing a phone number.) For some odd reason I thought that BMW would continue the series.
