Out in the open, distance is WHAT?

Hello

Is it supposed to be "distance is SUBJECTIVE" or "distance is OBJECTIVE?" I personally think Subjective makes more sense.

in the film he says subjective

The answer is: distance is subjective. As in subjecting someone to questions. One can do the same observing from a distance or subjecting them to observation. As for objective, it is something that can be attained physically. Like an object that can be taken, handled, touched, etc. I hope this helps your understanding.

definitions i got from dictionary.com
subjective: Proceeding from or taking place in a person's mind rather than the external world: a subjective decision.

objective: Having actual existence or reality.

"...As in subjecting someone to questions..."

"subjecting" and "subjective" are totally different things.

"Subjecting" means to bring someone under one's control.

"Subjective" relates to perceiving with personal bias -- the opposite of "objective".

As it relates to the film, I think the writer actually meant that "distance is 'relative'"

He says "distance is subjective".

However, I think the writer actually meant that "out in the open, distance is 'relative'"
