Region 2 DVD is available

For all you guys and gals out there that own a Multi Region DVD Player. The Rental Version DVD just got released in Germany. I'm going to wait for the 2-Disc Edition DVD which will be released here in Germany on December 12th, it will include "Deleted Scenes", "Audio Commentary", "Multi-Angle Storyboard Comparison",and a lot more.Available languages are German 5.1 Dolby, DTS and English Dolby 5.1.By the way another interesting movie "Fear of the Dark" by director K.C. Bascombe got released a couple of weeks ago here.I consider myself lucky to have access to movies on Region 1 DVDs that sometimes are still playing in German Theaters (Wrong Turn, They, Identity) on the other hand can anyone tell me why some movies are available here in Germany on Region 2 DVD (Fear of the Dark, Cypher or the new Dolph Lundgren movie "Detention that was released several months ago) before they are released in the US. For example "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys" with Jodie Foster was available here in Germany on DVD even long before it was released in American movie-theaters.Do studios consider Europe as some kind of a testing ground?
