Northam's accent (mild spoilers)

I thought Northam did a very good job with an American accent, better than most Brits, although it took a bit of getting used to seeing that face with it.

SPOILERS FOLLOW -- But did everyone notice that in the last scene, when he was back to who he really was, he was using his normal British accent? Even the American accent was part of the person he had brainwashed himself into. I thought that was a very good touch to the overall story.

I didn't notice until the second time I saw the movie. I found it a bit funny that the closed captions made sure to note that he was speaking with an english accent.

Who's to say Rooks isn't British, whilst his Morgan Sullivan persona is American? - just another layer of cover...

Yeah, I noticed he had his british accent at the end too. Had to get use to hearing his American accent at the start, it sounded really whiney, but maybe that was to do with his brainwashed character being a little dweeby!

His accent changed when he became Rooks in the helicopter: I thought that was a good way to demonstrate that he'd lost the old persona.
