I just watched this movie today but I'm getting tired as I watch and I even slept at some points (just like those who listening to the speech in the movie lol).
I liked this movie. But it's a bit twisty isn't it?
So I'm requesting someone to explain the movie in plain English.

The Purpose of Life is to End
Sebastian Rooks wanted to eliminate the file on Lucy Liu that was being kept at Sunways vault.
So, Sebastian Rooks brainwashed himself to be Morgan Sullivan.
As Morgan Sullivan he became a member of Digicorp.
Going by SR's own master plan, Lucy Liu stops brainwashing of Morgan.
This is picked up by Sunways corp, who think they can use him to penetrate Digicorp.
He slows acts the double agent. Sunways thinks they're using him to get to Digicorp. Digicorp thinks he's still brainwashed.
Finally, he gains so much trust at Sunways that they let him into the Sunways vault. Once there, he puts his own disk in that wipes out Lucy Liu's record.
Finally, he returns back to being Sebastian Rooks

This is not explained. Presumably they have something bad on her that can be used against her later on and he wanted it wiped desperately.
shareDoes it ever explain what kind of information digicorp and sun systems deal with? I guess in the end it's not necessary to know, but it could have made things more interesting.Is either one governmental? This may have been explained...it's just this movie made me sleepy...the booze didn't help much either. I did enjoy the "vault" scene, though.

As I understand it, Rooks is retiring, and wants to be sure that they can't track Lucy Liu, who's been his intermediary to the outside world in the past. So he destroys the file to ensure no-one has the information required to find her, and kills the people outside his organisation who could recognise her (Finster and Whatsisname, the Sunway security guy).
The retiring thing is somewhat subtle: Sullivan talks about wanting to retire to the Whatsit Archipelago, which is presumably where they are at the end on the boat. Since no-one but Lucy Liu has met Rooks, and there's no file left that anyone could use to find Lucy Liu, they're just another couple of rich people on a yacht...
