Sarcastic?

Would anyone other than myself consider this film sarcastic towards the paranoia of some people about being spied upon and double-crossed by The Corporations?

To say that this movie is being deliberately sarcastic about the paranoia of control by Corporations is to be unnecessarily cynical.

This movie is essentially a love story rapt in the device of espionage to give it an urgency it otherwise wouldn't have.

"What's truth got to do with it?"
"What's truth got to do with anything?"

But can we REALLY qualify this as a "love story" when the only hint that it had anything at all to do with love was for about 45 seconds right at the very end of the movie. Love, we find out way at the end, was his motive. But I wouldn't classify this as a love story by any stretch.

you're giving this movie entirely too much credit.
