Help Needed! (Heavy Spoilers)

After watching "Lost Highway" which was "difficult to understand", I decided to watch "Cypher", since it is supposedly able to better meet my "lower intelligence". But I was completely wrong!

Despite having gone through most of the threads (esp. pertaining to plot questions), I still have lots of questions.

For example, what is the big fuss/deal of using a micro-device in recording (or transmitting) contents of public conferences/presentations when info shared isn't of the highest confidential level? Since representatives from different organisations are invited, the organiser/hosting company should be aware of the risk of leakage. While some can retain info shared through direct memory, others make notes or even record them onto their cell phone/MP3 recorder.

Also, in the entirity of the film, nothing was mentioned about certain trade secrets or patented technology that is being stolen. I was waiting for such items to be captured in the CD, but it ended up being the CD containing the biography of Lucy Liu (instead of a collection of trade secrets and patents).

Someone mentioned about Rook using a masked identity. Are we inferring here because both the heads of security don't recognise him? (but recognise Lucy Liu?)

When Rook brainwashed himself to be Morgan, I supposed he used his own technology instead of enlisting the help from DigiCorp or Sunway. After that, who supplied his "first wife" (the one who divorced him) to him?

And many other questions; I can go on and on.......

reply

1. These conferences were fakes. camouflage for the brain wash.

2. Yea, but maybe they only were to sluggish to come up with some fake trade secrets.

4. He invented the technology and his wife was one of his personnels
