I Didn't Get It

Why was there a file of her in Sunways vault? Why did they want to kill her? Was she once a brainwashed agent or something? I understood everything up until that point.

I imagine because they knew she worked for Rooks. There was nothing to indicate this was their first experience with Rooks, as he was well known in the business. He sold them the brainwashing techniques but that doesn't mean he wasn't a private contractor working for the highest bidder before too. So she was always his contact, everyone knew her, and at some point she became a target to kill. That might be a mystery but if you consider the fact that they both know she could be working for or against either one of them based on whoever is paying more, and it becomes easy to understand.

Where it does break down is pretending like that disc is the only information they have on her. They know her name, they *surely* have security camera footage, and unless those that died in the explosion are the only ones who care, surely someone will still come looking. But it was a valiant effort nonetheless, I wouldn't mind a sequel if they could find an equally mind-bendy angle and not just turn him into a poor man's James Bond.
