Okay, this is a great foreign film but it's not Braveheart. Lots of reviewers here are saying it's as good or better than Braveheart or without being overly romantic or whatever. To me, this film is just as romantic than Braveheart. It induldges itself with a lot of emotionally-charged sappy scenes. However, it lacks the brutality of Braveheart.

The fight scenes also do not compare to Braveheart. I'd say they are closer to Gladiator. They use a lot of jerky camera shots with a lot of frantic movement that shows you a lot of blurred glimpses of the action. Braveheart had clear, magnificent shots of the epic battles with an unflinching camera.

The production values also do not compare to Braveheart's massive budget and it really shows.

Nevertheless, it's a good movie, and I'm only being harsh because of the number of people on here saying it's better than Braveheart.

but it's up there with braveheart,i believe that comparisons to braveheart are not too distant because the are almost the same, you only said that braveheart has better production values because the costumes there are more complete or covers most of their bodies, but this movie is about thai natives,hence, the costumes are more apt for the setting

Man , this movie is nowhere close to Braveheart. I really didn`t like this movie .

That action was too frantic ( at times I didin`t know what was going on )
The story was.....ok
The movie gets pretty boring after awhile

4 /10 stars .

even if you didnt like the movie. there were very many people who liked the same. you cant please very body...........

one or several voices cannot detract the fact that this movie was great, as most true stories do!

I liked this way better than Braveheart. Braveheart is vastly over-rated IMO.

Some scenes were better than Braveheart, some were worse.

Overall the fighting scenes were good but not great.
Still a great movie. RIP Bang RaJan Village.

Not brutal ? Boy you so didnt pay attention. theres more blood and guts and gore in one fight scene in Bang rajan then the entire Braveheart. getting an arrow in ones but cus of mooning, i dont call that brutal.
