Fight Club Re-make

I enjoyed this movie but did anyone else notice that the plot was almost exactly like Fight Club? Puck even kind of looks like Edward Norton, and Johnny Black looks like Brad Pitt in those sunglasses.

reply

I've never seen fight club, but from what I've heard they don't sound too much alike.

They're alike in some ways, looks like it inspired cookbook.

I have two questions.
1, should I see Fight Club?
2, There's a ***spoiler***

At the end, when all the bad people are dead, you see everybody but Double D and Sweeny. I know Double D's not there 'cause he's dead, but what about sweeny? He never died, or did he?

yeah this movie is just like fight club, the anarchist cookbook is about a guy with 2 personalities but doesnt know they exsist and forms a club where people beat each other up exactly the same.

reply

Yeah dudes, this movie is just like fight club..that guy puck really looks like edward norton, and untill one point, the story is really like in fight club...i mean peter(puck) who was used to the neat life gets back to live with johnny black in a dirty old house (paperstreet- fightclub)..and they manage to recruit a lotta nazis and rednecks (the space monkeys in fight club)..anyway, fight club will remain the best no matter what.

reply

I really disagree on that.
Fight Club, to me, seems like a more developed story. I get what you're saying though.
I think it's more like an SLC PUNK remake.

reply

i agree with gmokey its more of a SLC punk type remake, but definately NOT a Fight Club remake.

I finally saw Fight Club, and luckily before I saw YellowBrute's post. I was thinking about the similarities between the two movies as I was watching it. First off I noticed Edward Norton looked EXACTLY like Puck (at least to me). I got surprised when it wasn't Devon Gummersall sometimes. Then after that, when **The Narrator** was being left out of all of the plans (does he have a name, btw?) I was thinking it was totally like Puck and Johnny Black. And how he thought it was going to far. In reality they are two completely different movies, but at some points I wonder if whoever wrote AC saw Fight Club and thought they should just borrow some of the ideas. Anyway, both good movies.
