I found what the In Memoriam theme is...

According to filmscoremonthly.com, the music playing over the In Memoriam section at the 1998 Oscars was by Randy Edleman from his film Dragonheart - whew - now we know!!

Ok, actually, having now spent all afternoon ploughing through various excerpts of said score on the net, it's actually number 2 To The Stars that is used, but it is used for the celebration of all the films that won best picture, not the memoriam section so am back to square one!!

Mystery finally solved! the memoriam theme music is 'Appassionata' by Michael J Lewis from the film the Passage. Can't seem to get a hold of it anywhere, save from buying a 2 disc CD for one piece of music. bluediamondmusic.com seems to be the official site and it says you can listen to the music but I can't get it to work. Maybe if anyone else can they can let us know if it's right!

That is great news, I would really love to get a hold of the score for the In Memoriam segment at the 70th Academy Awards. I am also trying to find this, although I am not sure if you can help me Black -44, the In Memoriam tribute music played at the 74th Academy Awards. It sounds like it may be from a war film or even a medevil film.

Thanks again, let us know if there is indeed a place to get this piece of music.

black-44,

I have been trying to found out what that music was that played during the celebration of all that won best picture ever since I first hear it. But I can't seem to locate a song called 2 To the stars, could you help me out here?
