Release a DVD!!!

It's totally unfair. Hanna Barbara needs to release this on DVD. I mean this show was way better than Dastardly& Muttly (c'mon it was just them chasing a pigeon) and Penelope Pitstop and those shows got DVDs. This show and Hong Kong Phooey were the best of the Hanna Barbara series.

I whole heartedly agree. This was one of my favorite shows as a kid and I yearn often to see it again. Please, PLEEEASE. Make this a DVD release.

I also agree with everyone who has replied. This would be a wonderful addition to any cartoon DVD collection. Captain Caveman was my favorite of the HB cartoons and if they do have DVD releases I hope that they will include the original 16 episodes from his solo TV series and all his appearances on both of the Flintstones variety series.

C'mon Warner Bros. hear us roar for Captain Caveman on DVD!!

Finally they released Hong Kong Phooey. Now if only they released my other favorite cartoon from the seventies. Captain Caveman ruled! I have been looking for this one for years. Why do the studios release dvd's so randomly? You can get a bumper edition on e-bay. But it looks like a tape not dvd. Anyway, at least I know I am not alone in wanting this.

please we need a DVD of this show!!!

yes please.. but you guys have to start petitioning or something else than just writing on these boards, heck, even facebook or twitter groups to collect signatures and THEN go to wb - or whomever owns the rights these days..

It will eventually be coming from the Warner Archive program.

You should post asking for it on their fb page to help show them the fans want them and hope they get pushed up the list.

I refuse to argue on IMDB until the general populous actually uses their brains

People can also vote for it on TVShowsOnDvd dot com. I have votes for this and several other great HB cartoons. Not sure how much it will help but it's better than doing nothing.

We did get an update. In an article the head of WA mentioned that they do aim to have Captain Caveman on DVD within this year. So I'm assuming they have to be pretty close by now to bring ready to release it.

We've gone over a month since the last release, so we might be preparing for another set of summer releases, where they come out more frequently and then into a slow down (like we have now).

Most of the problem however is believed certain shows that had masters cut up and mixed over the years are in much worse condition than some of the others. So while a popular show like this or the older funny animals are essentially more than a year's project, other shows simply put need very little clean up or work and get released within a few months or less of being worked on.

Getting this one out will probably be a bigger announcement, as due to his popularity. THey'll probably put a unboxing video on their wall or a poll hinting of it.

Gamefaqs has a far worse population than IMDB
