I haven't watched this movie in a few years but if memory serves, Gio the manager was a real nasty piece of *beep* who treated Mira Sorvino's character like dirt for seemingly no reason. Did the flick ever say?

He only started getting really nasty when he found out she knew about the coke swans, which I guess cut into his take. I believe Mariah tells Mira this in the film.
