MC played an Italian girl in this movie. She was good and believable,... started out as a distraction but I came to like her character as the film unfolded.
Is MC Italian? I always thought she was Black, or half Black half Mexican. Italians are white and MC was white in this movie, so why did I always think she was black?

Umm, I don't know if her character was supposed to be Italian. It was only said that she played as a New Yorker in this movie with a heavy NY accent, lol.

Mariah is half black and half white. Her father has Venezuelan ancestry, but that is not a race and many black people lived in Venezuela. I think it was a move by her PR people early on to basically say she is a bit of everything so she would appeal to the masses in the beginning of her career. Her mom is white (Irish) and her father was a full-blooded black man who happened to be fair skinned and thus Mariah looks so racially ambiguous. She actually looks Hispanic to me if I had to guess not knowing her background. She definitely plays that Venezuelan part up a bit. I remember she was even on the cover of Latina magazine back in the day lol.
