whats with 114 ppl giving it a 1?

is there something seriously wrong with u ppl?

reply

There's no accounting for taste. Those same 114 probably all gave Armageddon 10 stars. Retards.

everyone just mumbles and whispers and takes 5 min before the next person says anything. this is not acting. but i still hated armageddon more.

I loved this film, but it's slow moving and ambiguous in parts...kind of like "Lost in Translation." In other words, not for everybody.

It might be do with controversy about the film within the asian american community.

check out this link. pretty interesting:

Great insight on that link. Kind of ironic in a way, too... since the novel is about two girls sharing a life, one of them struggling with her identity. Sounds like identity is the main controversy among some viewers of this unrelated movie, too.

Good job with that link. Even if what I read made me sick. Here are just two excerpts:

"Wait a second! Was this movie written by a white boy! If it was you know damn well you can't trust it. ...The white boy gets it on porno style with the AF [Asian Female] - and then the AF goes up to the punk [Asian Male] who has a cuddly talk with her? That is some bull. Like I said before - we need to create a secret society to assassinate people who pull stuff like this."

"I don't plan to pay $10 to watch two Asian girls get f----d by a white guy. Whoopse, I mean, hapa. I saw your picture, Mr. Byler, and you look white, white, white. I really don't think that you can claim to represent Asian America because I believe that you have benefitted from white priviledge. I mean, 'Byler'? That doesn't sound too Asian to me. As for your parents and their "healthy" relationship, I think I'll hold off on that one."
