I have never seen an Olivier Assayas film before.This was just a viceral load of imagery that I didn't want to stop!

All of these images before you. Corporate power, double crossing, hentai anime, and interactive torture websites all come together to form something that might mean different things to different people. The performances are great though. Gina Gershon (Showgirls,Bound,Face/Off) looks better then ever only problem I wanted to see her more. Connie Nielsen in the lead role is awsome as the coroporate mole/ice queeen. I'm surprised that was the same actress in Gladiator and One-Hour Photo. And Chloe Sevigny is quiet but assertive at the same time.

If your tired of all the same exploding cars and sappy romantic comedies lately, come check this one out. You'll be pleasantly surprised

This movie was awful. Probably the WORST movie of 2003.

Here's why:

This guy had a terrible script (the first sign of trouble), that had a poorly executed story.

He then thought "let's see, why don't we put attractive people in it who speak French, then switch to English? Then, we create useless, boring scenes and sequences that defy logic to really throw the audience off. Brilliant, huh? Then, we need to keep people from falling asleep, bolting for the exits, or smashing their TVs, so let's be shocking and show some x-rated hentai anime, nudity and S&M stuff. Boy, I really am a genius! Did I mention I'm French, and an artist? That will mean critics will love this, and convince everyone that this is a masterpiece"

Look, I hate mindless actioners like the next guy, but if DREAMLOVER is your alternative, you need to learn a thing or two about story-telling.

I don't know, I liked this movie a lot. It wasn't so much the plot, which was pretty good and it kept me interested. It was really the beautiful imagery and the lighting and the acting that I liked. The whole movie was just very pretty all the time. By the way, the critics hated this movie and you got the title wrong, it's Demonlover.
