The Soundtrack Of Demonlover

I loved everything about this movie, but i'm not sure about the soundtrack. What I know is that in this soundtrack there is one track by Goldfrapp ('Lovely Head'), and the rest of the songs, or at least 8 of them are by Sonic Youth. Below you can see the names:

Move Away
Control Freak
Safe in Hell
Electric Noisefield
Slambient Desire
Melodikim
Teknikal Illprovisation
Superdead

Please, if you could recognize another song, that I'm not mentioning, reply. I know there must be other songs, like the ones played in the Japanese Club, both the one that some chicks sung and the one that is a remix.

Cheers

The incredible opening titles song is not on the soundtrack CD. It's called "Hero" by the German punk band NEU! -- and it ain't easy to track down in America. Still, the Sonic Youth cuts on the soundtrack CD are pretty great, if you're into noodly feedback stuff.

There's also:

Dirge- Death In Vegas

Back to Primitive- Soulfly

reply

i believe there's also an A Silver Mt. Zion song at the end called Could've Moved Mountains

reply

Move Away is fantastic - so is Dirge.

reply

I was so surprised to hear A Silver Mt. Zion rolling with the credits. A lovely surprise. Even Dirge by Death In Vegas was awesome to hear. I like whoever chose the music for this film. I like them a lot.

reply

Curiously, the first few bars heard before the opening song by NEU! is from David Bowie's song, "Fashion," from Scarey Monsters.

I think Darkthrone is also featured in this one, with their song 'Kathaarian Life Code' in the last scene, according to Wikipedia.

If you love Satan and are 100% proud of it, copy this and make it your signature!

reply

Yep, that's Darkthrone. Also, the noise during the Hellfire Club sequence is "Grace" by Ministry.

The soundtrack was probably my favourite aspect of the film. Would love to pick this one up.

"Friends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies."

Yeah I'm absolutely surprised how Ministry's "Grace" didn't end up being listed in the credits... maybe just Sonic Youth worked out a deal where they were able to sample it without doing so, but still, great ominous song.
