why diane kills herve?

i mean was she commited\forced to shoot him?in the specific scene diane seemes to be in a state of unconsciousness or hypnotised.and right after he shoots him she s like waking up and screaming like she didnt know what she did.any clues?and why she decided to go to bed with him,i mean she was offended by herves confessing her that he controlled her all the way through and she admits that it was humiliating.if you re humiliated by someone and you get upset ,you surely dont go to bed with him\her right after, dont you?the 2nd part of the film is so messed up,and even if it is the directors point to leave the interpetations opened,i wouldnt know what to think because the missing parts of the plot are vital for the viewer in order to guess anything.interesting film though...

sorry for my english.i hope i made my self clear.

I agree that the second half of the film just went downhill very fast. Totally illogical, None of it made any sense.

Why did she kill him? God knows. Maybe she felt disgusted by him, or herself. Particually after eating all that raw fish at the resturaunt. That guy must have stunk.

He did force himself on her so you could call it rape but still, shooting him in the head seemed a bit over the top.

i was confused by teh whole scene with herve too. i think she went up with him because she was caught in teh moment? because she was about to leave but he stops her and aggressively kisses her which she just accepts which i guess i can see.
but i dont get why she stayed after he rapes her. and how did she end up staying and naked? if you get raped, wouldnt you leave as soon as you can?
plus the next morning she lets him have sex with her and i thought she was distracting him so she could kill him but then her reaction afterwards is all panicked and crazy as if she just spotted a dying twitching man in the room and she was wondering who did it..so she wasnt planning to kill him?
i saw teh interview with connie nielsen and she said that diane is someone who does things without thinking what's goign to happen or what she's goign to do next...im just going to use this comment to explain all this

A guess, but is the last half of the movie where Diane has signed a contract and must perform certain fantasies. The murder must have been someone's fantasy and she's obligated to do it. That's why she's so horrified. This is a total guess, not sure anyone knew what this movie was about, even the director.

My impression was that Elise ordered Diane to kill Herve.

During the car scene where Diane is cuffed and a hood is placed over her head, Elise asks Diane if she agrees to all of the conditions. One condition (my guess - not explicitly mentioned in the movie) is getting rid of Herve so Elise can move up in the company.

After Herve reveals that Elise works for him (during dinner) it's the only reason I can imagine Diane would still go to his place and not fight him off while he rapes her. She has to get him alone somehow.

It looked as if Diane was injected with some drug. Remember, at some point Diane was taken away in the car, her head was covered and hands cuffed. After she was brought back home, she was unconscious and her arms had visible needle marks. After that moment Diane seemed to act as if in a daze. And the shooting of the bald guy also happened after that. Possibly, she was given some drug and her actions were perhaps somehow controlled by those who gave the drug.
