Chloe Sevigny speaking French

I had no clue she spoke French, unless of course she learned it for the movie, or just memorized the lines(?) I don't speak French, but can anyone else tell— was her accent legitimate, or did she sound like an English speaker attempting French? I know her last name is French, but I've never seen/heard her speak French in any other film, interview, etc.
