Agreed! While I have very limited experience with women/children shelters, a few years ago my family and I tried to bring candy cane reindeer we had made to our local women/children's shelter for a little bit of Christmas cheer. We found the info on the internet on the location, but when we got there the director met us outside and took the boxes as we were absolutely NOT allowed inside or to meet/see anyone currently there for safety reasons. Definitely no children playing outside or women hanging around the exterior!
