it was a great gangsta movie but no one seen it i mean everyone who likes crime movies will like this

This was an excellent movie. I even purchased it after I saw it. I think that it would have done very well at the box office, however, I never saw it there. I happened to see it while looking for another movie.
Wonderfull movie! Oh, it was released in select theatres, and from what I hear they are trying for a re-release since Artisan was in turmoil at the time. Lions gate now owns Artisan. This picture deserves better! Wonderful acting. A lot of heart.

Yeah, it was very real too. They did a good job of representing Boston, and even had a light accent down. Very nice...I'm actually from Boston so I would know...the Brockton gun robbery cracked me up because Brockton is just stupid...

shareIt was an excellent movie. But the ending was a little bit disappointing. I didn't like the character of Tristan's wife. I thought she was a spoiled brat that lived off of Tristan's lifestyle. I won't get too much into the ending, but it was extremely disappointing because of her. But it is still a very good movie.

shareThats what makes it different. It wouldn't have even had the sucess it did without it. Plus, it wasn't built up to be a fantastic piece of art, so chill out. I thought it was good. Its like a BELLY, but with better actors.

@Everyday-struggler - if u call this garbage, then u dont know a good movie when u see it.
This movie was simply awesome. Of course, Ive seen better, we all have. But as far as indy gangster-dramas go, Ive seen a LOT worse too. The acting was pretty good, the story was decent and the violence proper, not over the top. (Not counting the fact that people get thrown off their feet after getting shot by a simple 9mm handgun)
All in all, this flick kept me entertained for the entire 2+ hours and still can after 9 years. That is, after all, the mark of a good movie.
