I don't really get what she's doing in this movie after Amélie. I'm guessing this one was made before Amélie and released after. I couldn't make out why she was in the sequel either.
Both parts were barely supporting roles. Does anyone know if she made this movie before her success in Amélie and just played a small part in the sequel to complete the cast of the first?
She can't just be a one hit wonder you know. A girl's gotta keep working and doing movies. She didn't play a small roll. She was a catalyst for a lot of things that happened.
shareAudrey Tautou made plenty of films before and after that one, in France Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain was a big success but it's wasn't like she came out of nowhere.
shareLast I checked Audrey never became a "movie star" not even in France, but she's kept herself busy as an actress and these films were no exception.
I also recall her commenting on why she never wanted to be a big movie start, especially in America because she doesn't like the American-style of movie-making particularly the Action/Adventure side which is pretty much THE standard in American movies today.
