This film has no connections with the great movie directed by Harron; The only things it shared with Harron's movie is the title and the re-introduction of the famous character patrick bateman.
I didn't know this was a sequel. I thought this was a stand alone film that took elements from American Phsyco, and tried to change it and create a new storyline.
"Death is too easy for you, BITCH!...I want you to suffer."
I hope they asked for a lot of money when they sold the rights for the movie company to use the name and mention the character's names.
