The Electricity Thing?

potential mini-spoilers ~

I found the creatures very Lovecraft -

I also wonder why, other than the brief use of a lighter, folks didn't think about using fire instead of relying on electricity, when they know that the creatures can't abide light and that they are capable of fritzing out electronic devices.

I did miss a few minutes of the film...no one thought to use fire, right?

No one really knew anything about the creatures, it was all conjecture. They figured that they didnt like light but they didnt knkw it killed them and they didnt know they could cause blackouts until it was too late.

Well, the painter (the one who only used black paint) was surrounded by dozens of lit candles when he was taken. The creatures managed to put them all out.

When i saw the movie back in the days, this is what annoyed me a lot. I mean Darkness Falls was cool before he at least had a way of fighting the "witch" , wich was any source of light.

In this its like there is no real mean of defense... just feels like a very depresing movies. Its like if somebody was chasing me, and i would have a bazooka, a chaingun and a shotgun, yet everything i would shoot at him would turn into peanuts in the air... thats no fun...

Seem like any source of lights they can kill it, and well there is night on earth no matter where you are... some places it last longer but days also, but you get the point...

I wish there would had been a way of fighting them, something that the could not touch. Like for exemple if they can cut power in building(but eating the wires for exemple), a flashlight should had been ok

Alice is the worst character of all time, she need to die in the last movie. Chris/Jill are RE !!!
