could someone please explain what led up to it and what might happen after the movie ends
shareThe UN had no safe choice but to leave him, so they told everyone he was ok and they left. If I was in his situation, I'd probably try and fit my hand under my back, and hold the detonator down. But I'd most likely get blown to shreads. Sad ending really. Powerful film.
sharethe simon callow character also tells his underling to inform both sides that the other side is planning on attacking that night -- in order to cover up the UN's own duplicity (since they tell the media another story -- a nice rosey one).
