I am looking for a Specific Film. Is this it? (SPOILERS)

Hello, i hope that you can help. I am looking for a film, i think it is this one, i have seen the last scene, last shot even, before the credits, of a man lying in a trench, on a land mine, with UN Troops watching and the Camera pulls back and the credits roll. Is this the Film. I think it is, but i haven't delved too deep into the other posts, as i didn't want to read any spoilers. So, hope someone lets me know, as i very much want to get it on DVD, and add it to my little collection of War Movies. Thank you in advance.

Yep certinally sounds like this film, and to be honest, even if it isn't you should add it to your war movie collection! :D

reply

Yes, thank you, i have done some further looking, and it is the film i am after, but it isn't available in the shops where i am, so i will have to order it, £19.99, so that is alright, also i will have to order 'Idi I Smotri' (Come and See) on Region 1, as that is another i want to add. Okay thank you.

Dentrassi, yes, this is the film you are looking for...too bad you allready saw the end of the movie, because the end is the symbolism of the movie....However, it is definately worth to buy this movie, because it is a truly MASTER PIECE, you want regret your money, trust me!

yeah, i know, i was watching one of those 100 greatest thingy's on the TV (100 Greatest War Movies!), and this one was on it, and they showed the last scene, but i didn't really pay that much attention, but then as the time has past i kept seeing that scene in my head and then i was looking for it, but couldn't remember the title, but knew i had to have it. So, thanks for your reply, i will be ordering it very soon, and it will sit nicely in my fledgling DVD Collection.

AH NO WORRIES I GOT IT THROUGH AMAZON, FOR ABOUT 8 POUNDS, AND WATCHED IT LAST NIGHT, SO WELL WORTH MY MONEY. THE FINAL FEW SCENES WERE INCREDIBLE, WILL SIT VERY NICELY ON MY DVD SHELF.

It is good that you show interesting, but you immediately give the ending away in your description.
That is why I propose you put the word 'Spoilers' in your title (a spoiler is a thing that you normally shouldn't know because it... yes it spoils the movie)

reply

Ah well you are right enough I guess, but the thought of someone reading this post who hadn't seen the film seems a little far fetched. If they hadn't seen it how would they know if it was the right film. I saw the end of the film and wanted to know what it was. It did not occur to me that this would also give away the end of the movie. So sorry if you haven't seen it and now you know the end, just as I did, but I still bought it and liked it. I'll say spoiler next time then.

I've just picked up a fault in the AE35 unit. It's going to go 100% failure in 72 hours.

reply

Uhm, that is all fine, and I understand your logic...but you do realise you can edit your posts (including the title) as much as you like? Just go the first post in this topic (your post) and edit it, and you can change the title

reply

well if you feel that strongly about it I will. Would hate to cause offence.

Great! Another way to prevent spoiling is to write spoilers at the end of your post, preceeded by SPOILERS!!!, and then some empty lines between it and the actual spoilers.

This one was actually pretty mild. Sometimes when a principal character dies in a film, you find topics here with as title :"Who killed .....??". Those are of course!

Thanks!
