This film breaks the rule of Anton Chekhov's rule: If you introduce a gun in the first act, it must go off in the third act.

But for this film, it worked greatly.
Any other films that break this rule?

It also set up the tripwire hook which I was sure the news journalist would trigger. But I don't think it ever even appeared on screen after it's only use in the movie which was keeping the main dude from exploring any further.
