Lucetta and Mrs Charmond

Anybody noticed that Lucetta was played by the same actor who played Mrs Charmond in another Hardy movie Woodlanders? Lucetta and Mrs. Charmond have a very similar seductive character, and I'm wondering why the film maker decided to use the same actor who played the similar character in the same Hardy's adaptation before?
