Suprisingly Pretty Good

I was suprised that I liked this film. I thought it would be corny as hell, but it really showed MC Hammer's grounded values.

Probably seeing him on Surreal Life helped me realize what a good guy he is and how hard he tries to do the right thing. I remember the excitement he generated when he first went to the top in the late 80s, early 90s. Of course, he and his crew never busted moves like in the club scenes when I saw him in clubs around the Bay Area. Now that I know his background story, I can appreciate what he went through even more.

Hip Hop doesn't tend to recycle old stars too much, but maybe he can find another area to be on top.

The only thing that disturbed me is that his daughter was much lighter skinned than either Hammer, his wife or any of the people in Hammer's family. Guess he never thought to question it.

Much props to Romany Malco who looked pretty good doing Hammer's moves.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

I noticed the daughter being far more light-skinned too, and I thought that was bad casting. She may have been the best kid to audition, but they should have tried for someone who looked more like the actors who played her parents.

I was an extra in this movie in the "too legit" scene. I remember talking to one of the employees and I remember one of them saying something about a Stevie Ray Vaughn movie. I was kinda worried.
