Languages spoken

I know the "doctor" spoke English and Farsi, but I could have sworn the woman and the boy kept alternating speaking both Farsi and Pashto, since I know a little of both languages. I'm not a total expert, but the movie is set in western Afghanistan and Pashto is spoken only in the eastern half and the Qandahar area

It was mostly in Pashto, the doctor could understand Pashto. When he was talking to the little girl before Nafas came and the little girl was constantly saying, "Ho," which is yes in pashto. Also the little boy spoke pashto also, Nafas asked all the questions to him in Pashto, but he couldnt speak English. She spoke Farsi with the Hazaara man in the begining part.

Thank you! Also with this movie being made in Iran, do you think the director had a difficult time finding Hazara's? I would assume Iran was a sort of refuge for them during the Taliban reign, since that's the only predominately Shia Muslim nation in the world
