You've GOT to respect the fundamentals.

Excluding the bad story telling and flawed character design having Shanti able to speak to the animals is ridiculous, In the original and in the book Mowgli is able to communicate with the animals although it's expressed in English for the audience to understand and it's never even hinted at that they are all able to speak English. You can suspend disbelief to explain how Mowgli was able to speak to the other humans so quickly but it's just wrong to just have all the animals speaking English.

Also how did they not have enough left over clips from Robin Hood to get the voices the same?
