King Louie

Did the King of the jungle read the script and decide that it wasnt good enough for him?

Im 19 I love the originial and went to the cinema to see the sequel and loved it, but where was the king?

People who moan about this film just are "too grown up for disney" in my opinion, you have to have a childish side to enjoy films like this.

"The character of King Louie from the original Jungle Book film is not in this movie, because Disney would have had to pay the estate of voice actor Louis Prima had the character appeared in the film in any form"-Trivia Section

Jezz can't Disney pay the damn estate? There are richer then hell. If Louis Prima died before the tv show "TaleSpin"(Features Baloo, Louie, Sher Khan, etc.) Obviously they had to pay his estate. And in the "House Of Mouse" u could see Louie in the audience! Damn Disney excuses!

reply

Well actually they NEVER payed the estate for TaleSpin and Jungle Cubs. The legal action was taken in 2000 so those series were allready over. House of Mouse they probably didn't pay since his role is very limited and they might not have even given him dialogue if they did the would have not used a similer voice which wouldn't have ben breaching the contract.

Disney should stick to their contracts. Sheesh, it wouldn't have been such a big deal if they did. It probably wasn't even a lot of money... well considering that Disney's company is richer than any company on Earth (just about).

Well, why did the estate wait until 2000,instead of suing around the time Talespin was airing?
